Fundraiser in support of Padre Melo and Radio Progreso's work
This September, Fr. Melo will be receiving an award in recognition of his courage and faithful accompaniment of the Honduran people at the Gonzaga University in Spokane WA. During his trip he will also visit the San Francisco Bay Area and Boston to share the Honduran reality and to make a very concrete, practical appeal.
This fundraiser is to support three special requests:
1) Support for the purchase of a 4WD pick-up truck
2) Support to strengthen their Legal and Human Rights Defenders Team
3) Support the coalition of sister organizations (including Foro de Mujeres and religious women of Honduras) united in defending the rights of all Hondurans
We are excited to welcome Father Ismail Moreno (Padre Melo) to the Bay Area and invite you to mark your calendars. His visit will be an opportunity to hear about the work of activists on the ground in Honduras and to raise funds to support the work.
