Restoring Dignity for Families After Deportation

Rebuilding Hope for Deported Families

Dear Virtual Pilgrims

Today, we invite you to join us in supporting women and their families as they face the shock of being deported and multiple challenges as they are uprooted yet again and relocated to their new country.

SHARE and long-term partners PROVIDA (Pro-Vida Humanitarian Aid Association) and the Chalatenango Migration Network are launching a program to provide emergency support for these families.

The Building Bridges of Solidarity and Hope project will accompany women and their families who are deported. This two-year initiative will provide comprehensive medical care, psychological support, rights education, and economic reintegration services to more than 500 women and their families.

Our work is grounded in the same spirit of accompaniment that guided Ita, Maura, Carla, Dorothy, and Jean; we are supporting the very same communities they used to work with.
We are inviting you to help us explore any source of funding with your congregation, religious order or community; any fundraising initiative is welcomed. We welcome donations of any amount, large or small. They can be mailed to: SHARE Foundation, 2425 College Ave. Berkeley CA 94704.

Please contact me with any ideas or leads by writing to me at jose@share-elsalvador.org or calling me at 510 848 8487.

En solidaridad y esperanza,

Jose Artiga & Maria Orellana
