Dear Friends,

Greetings and wishes that you and your family are healthy and free of covid.

In El Salvador, the COVID 19 pandemic has impacted the lives of students in rural communities at different levels, which has implied making changes to adapt to new forms of study.

Due to the fact that the classes became virtual, the young scholarship holders have had serious difficulties due to the lack of signal and internet connection to take their classes and upload their assignments, in 2020, according to data from the Ministry of Education of El Salvador. School dropout was above 30%, so we invite you to support the young people of the rural communities with whom we work so that they can fulfill their dream of studying.

You can support youth on $ 30 each month ($ 300 for 10 months) to pay the monthly internet fee; in addition to benefiting young students and the women's and youth committees from nearby communities.

In the case of Katheryn Menjivar from the Los Alas community, in the municipality of Chalatenango, she is studying in the university; she must walk 40 minutes to the house of her classmate to receive her classes, which hinders the level of academic performance of the students.

Thank you for supporting and believing in the future of the youth of the rural communities of El Salvador.
