As the corona virus sweeps across the globe, we invite you to make a donation and sign this message of solidarity with the medical and paramedical personnel who are in the battle against COVID 19 in El Salvador.
The numbers of deaths from COVID 19 are heartbreaking, for those families whose loved ones are lost to the disease and for their caregivers, the men and women risking their lives to provide medical care to their sisters and brothers.
El Salvador currently suffers one the highest rates of death for medical providers in the world.
As of July 22, 32 doctors, 22 nurses, and health professionals and medical administrators have died in El Salvador. The total of 98 caregivers and administrators who have died were asked to work without the minimum safety equipment and protocols in place.
There is an urgent need for the government to provide first-line medical personnel and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and to meet their common sense demands immediately.
The SHARE Foundation, together with the PRO-VIDA Association, is launching an international campaign - “Medical Aid for El Salvador” - to raise funds for the purchase of PPE kit ($172), medication kit ($179) and food for families of patients with COVID 19 kit ($30) as well as organizing accompanying Medical Delegations.
Please help us share it with your friends.
The challenges are great. But together we can overcome the virus and build a fairer and healthier El Salvador.
