A Night of Solidarity with Padre Melo

Help us welcome Padre Melo to the Bay Area, Learn more about the work of activists on the ground in Honduras and raise funds to support them. We're halfway to our goal of $102,000 and need your contribution for this final $50,000 push.

Urgent Needs:

A 4-Wheel Drive Truck: This is an important organizing tool.Poor roads, flooding, difficult to access mountain roads make it impossible for organizers and legal advisors to move between locations. A truck would make all the difference.

Legal Aid: The release of the Guapinol 12 was a huge victory! But the ongoing work of legal advisors, political observers, and activists mobilizing community support in the midst of continued oppression is just as urgent today as it was then.

Coalition-Building: There is a great need to spread the organizing efforts across diverse groups to strengthen the people and enable them to resist. From local workshops to train the trainer opportunities, the hope is to be able to deploy more leaders and strengthen their efforts in every region. Support is needed for transportation, food, training materials, and stipends to support families of activists who are under threat.
